The trip to San Francisco was awesome! We had the best time ever, despite not 1 but 2 baby earthquakes!
Marathon was great as I have said in a previous post. After all that training, it’s sort of weird that it is over.
My group of college besties (sans Em who is in DC) live in San Francisco. To take a week to hang with them was literally beyond amazing.
Monday: We relaxed and spent time tooling around the city. We were all exhausted from all the celebrating the day before, so we just took it easy and watched the Jets Monday night.
Tuesday: I went to Chico for college. B had heard of it, mostly because that is where his favorite beer (Sierra Nevada Pale Ale) is brewed. I have been to his college a few times so I was SUPER excited to take him to mine! It’s about a 3 hour drive from San Francisco, we went with my besite and her husband who both went there as well. We started with a brewery tour at Sierra Nevada which was awesome - they really teach you about brewing beer - from letting you go in the hop room to letting you taste all the malts.

They end it with a half our tasting - which was awesome. We then toured the campus, went by my old dorm from freshman year, and then went out that night. It was awesome to show B that part of my life.

Wednesday: We got back and relaxed, and then went to dinner with one of B’s old roomates and his gf that recently moved to San Francisco. We went to Foreign Cinema which is always a hit - even when I lived there so long ago.
Thursday: B went to work, and then L and I spent the day thrifting and vintage shopping. There are so many good stores in San Francisco, it was awesome. We then that night went to Buckshot which was awesome - everyone was able to make it and the debauchery continued all night long.
When we left yesterday morning, I was broken hearted. It is so so so hard to live across the US from those girls. Every time I go back, I feel like I am home. They are more than my friends, they are my family. I am so lucky to have them in my life, and am already counting down the minutes until I see them again!
