Today should have been called Hardest Body Friday - so so so hard!
We started with the usual - body builders, push ups, bicycles, ice skaters, medi-pushups, mountain climbers, running, bear crawling, etc.
Then the stairs. The effing stairs. I hate these stairs. 3 flights. Today was up and down 6x!
- first time just running the stairs up and back
- second time running down then up and then bear crawling back to them
- third time running down then up and then grabbing weights (5lbs in each hand) and doing jump squats
- fourth time holding the weights running down then up and then dropping weights and traveling body builders back
- fifth time running down then up and then bear crawling again back to them
- sixth time running down then up and then grabbing the weights again and jump squatting all the way back to the class room.
Then the boxing started with all the stations, tons of abs, pushing the heavy bag around the room, regular punching heavy bags, sparring with the instructor, etc. It was so crowded so we went in pairs and the girl I was matched up with was awesome - which I really like as it always makes me work that much harder to keep up.
We finished class in an hour - but class is usually an hour and a half - so the Coach decided we NEEDED TO DO MORE STAIRS.
I thought I was going to die.
4x more up and down.
- regular running up and down the stairs and back
- second time running and up and down then bear crawling back to the start
- third time running up and down then jump squatting back to the start
- fourth time grabbing the weights again and then up and down the stairs with the weights and back to the room.
It was exhausting, and I know everything is going to hurt tomorrow.
