I haven’t done Kettles in a bit so I thought why not today. I just wasn’t in the mood for spin.
I settled in to do a minimum of 400 swings between doubles with 16kgs and singles with 12kgs. My back is a little sore from bending over packing boxes all yesterday for my move, but I figured some kettles will stretch and fix everything.
I felt so strong. I don’t know if it’s because I ate 1/2 a Kind Bar right before the gym, or I just got the right amount of sleep last night - but around swing 300 I realized that I was feeling great when usually I am dying. I ended up doing 420 and finishing strong. I could have kept going but there was a group training by me and the giggling slacking girls flirting with the training (lame and annoying) was putting me over the edge bc they were so loud I could hear them over my ipod and it was distracting me.
Anyway, I left the kettle area and then did decline situps holding a 25lb weight. I did 4 sets of 10, and I am going to be paying for it tomorrow. The 12lb med ball is a little too light for me now (strong abs!) but someone was using the 13lb and the 14lb so I was stuck. I picked up a 25lb plate and said eff it, lets go.
I know I am going to be sore tomorrow, my hand is already blistered, but I felt strong and great throughout. It was a great way to start my workouts for the week!
It’s Monday - drive hard to start off right!
