Went to boxing today - I usually run on Tuesday’s but I am wondering again if all the distance running is making me build muscles hence get stronger but bigger legs. I want leaner and more toned. So trying different things till I figure this out. I will still distance run - but maybe only 1x a week or so.
Anyway - I hauled myself to the gym this morning for a 6:45am boxing class - which was awesome!
The warm up was the same that we almost always do - mountain climbers, flying lunges, body builders, jump squats, V’s, bicycles, bear crawling, push ups, medi-push ups, jumping jacks, and so on - except today you had to hold weights in your hands no matter what you are doing. I wanted to “save my arms” so I literally used super light weights. Like a patsy but whatever. By the end of the warm up my arms were on fire. It’s amazing what it can do.
There were more ab stations than usual today, which normally I would love, but after doing the ab workout that I did yesterday it basically hurts to breathe. So it nearly killed me.
Was a great alternative to just running - got an amazing full body workout. It’s Tuesday - keep strong!
