My favorite workout of the week!
I went to bed a little late last night (got sucked into Real Housewives of New York on DVR) so I was a little low energy this morning. It’s amazing what a difference just 1 extra hour of sleep can make.
Anyway - we did the usual warm up - jump squats, body builders, squat thrusts, jumping jacks, mountain climbers, running, push ups, spider-man push ups, medi-push ups, (I hate all push ups), etc and then the stairs.
We only had to do the stairs 5x today! It’s amazing that I think that is like a good thing. But after last week’s 10x I am still scarred.
Anyway, I am doing something weird when I am sparring with the instructor. I am sort of hopping forward and back instead of shifting my body weight side to side. I don’t know how I started this habit, but it’s hard to break. So I was working on that today, which lead to me not being quite as fast and hard when sparring as I usually am.
Luckily when everyone had completed all the stations someone from the gym management came in to say they needed the room for a special class - so we couldn’t do any more stairs! HOORAY!!!!
