NoSauce Book Review - Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
So after hearing this book pop up in coversations around, both Laney and Tippy recco’ed it to my in the same week.
I more devoured this book than read it. I literally couldn’t put it down. It’s hard to review it without giving away it’s dark surprises.
CONTAINS SPOILERS!!!!!
I wasn’t sure who was the murder and what was going to happen. I was especially surprised at the ending.
It was just so interesting that it’s all so true - the police not wanting to admit they made a mistake, the public influencing everyone in the case, how there isn’t an “unbiased jury” anymore because of Facebook, Twitter, blogs, everything, that everyone hears information so often that they have already formed an opinion before ever going to trial.
Most of all, I was aghast that someone could actually get away with murder. And have the police support them.
What a book! It was haunting and amazing!
