So today I got up early to meet my friend Little J before boxing - he was showing me some specific exercises for my upper back - I want to tone up the shoulder blade area without building my traps. (He is called Little J because he is anything but little - he is super jacked so def an expert in weight lifting) He gave me a set of three exercises to do low weight at high reps (min 12 reps at least) 2x a week for 3 weeks - he said I will see a difference that quickly. I will take before and afters - we will see!
Anyway, after my 15 minute impromptu weight training, we headed into boxing. It was pretty much the usual - except one of the stations was the jump rope. I love jump rope, it’s a great workout and is fun - but I am not the greatest at it.
So after sparring, the next station was jump rope. In 3 minutes i only messed up 2x but i was just regular jumping. However by the time I was doing the P90X ab station this girl C was at the jump rope. HOLY TOLEDO! It was like watching Buddy Lee!!!! I basically stopped working out and was just watching. I just want to go home and practice until I can be like her!!!
I love that such hard core people go to my gym - seeing someone who is so strong and fit totally inspires me to get that much better!
