I am going to Hong Kong and Mainland China in September, and because of all the typhoons there right now, there has been major flooding. With flooding, disease is more easily spread. So I had to go get some vaccines and boosters.
I go to the dr - and its $125. So I asked him (well his receptionist) doesn’t my insurance cover this?
She says no. They don’t cover basically any vaccines (typhoid, yellow fever, etc)
So I ask her what if I don’t get the vaccine, and then I like get typhoid when I am in China, and have to go to the hospital, wouldn’t they have rather just paid for the vaccine since that has to be more expensive than the shot?!?!
And she was like I would think so - but it’s still $125.
So annoying. Dumb insurance. Harumph.
