Living across the country from your family is hard. I would have moved back ages ago if it wasn’t that B’s love for New York knows no boundaries. New York will always be the mistress of our relationship. Anyway, I digress.
I have to plan out when we are going to celebrate *Chanamus with my family early, as we have to buy plane tickets.
As I was looking on all the airlines websites today to try and get the best deal, I was thinking about what to get each member of my family for the holidays. I can’t shell out huge wads of cash all at once to get everyone the gifts of their dreams, so I start early. Slowly but surely I start shopping, and so when December comes around I am usually done a few weeks early.
I found something today that I know my sister-in-law will love.
I just love that feeling of watching someone you love unwrap a gift that you know that they will love. It’s probably the best feeling ever, and warms your heart like nothing else can.
Only 119 days left (or if you are part of my fam 101!)
*Chamaus started when my brother and I were little kids, because we would always celebrate the gift part of Chanukah over Christmas. The tradition lives on of celebrating whenever we can get together, no matter if it is actually Chanukah, Christmas, or like Kwanza. This has since been deemed The Miracle Of Chanamus!
