It’s hard to get to boxing on Tuesdays - so much harder now that it is dark out. I have to take a train to the subway - all while it was not only pitch black out still this morning, but also pouring. But I did it. And it was awesome.
The warm up was a little shorter than usual - but covered everything - push ups, medi push ups, body builders, squat thrusts, flying lunges, bear crawls, V’s, bicycles, etc
The stations were a bit different than normal - as usual almost every other one was a heavy bag, with mats in-between most with a few one offs (like pushing a heavy bag across the room and bear crawling back, box jumps, or the speed bag, etc). Instead at every mat, do 20 body builders and then 20 push ups. It was so hard. 20 body builders/burpee’s is rough. Crazy rough. But to try to do a push up after? My entire body was screaming.
The last 30 seconds of each round the coach calls out an exercise and we stop whatever you are doing to do that exercise.
It was a great class, but now I am exhausted!
