As it is Sunday here in Korea, I don’t know how accurate that title is, but whatever, it was Saturday in America when I completed this workout.
Whenever I am going to be sitting on a plane all day (when flying across the world literally alllllll day)I make working out prior to departure a priority. It helps me relax and keeps me much less restless on these long flights. This morning I set my alarm for 6:45 and was one of three people in the gym:
I ran a 5K - slightly over actually at 3.20miles. I just wanted to burn some calories and work off some excess travel anxiousness.
After that I did my obliques where I held 10lb weights and standing straight put my left hand on my hip and then bent with a straight back from the waist until my right hand was to my knee-ish. 3 sets of 20 on each side.
After that leg press with 90lbs on it. I felt like I could have done more, but who wants to be super sore when sitting on an airplane all day? 3 sets of 10.
Lastly the Captain’s Chair 3 sets of 10.
It felt so good to get that burn in - and I felt better the entire flight for it.
Just because you are traveling is not an excuse to throw your fitness routine out the door! This weekend put in the extra time!
