NoSauce Book Review - Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks

Let me preface this by saying I was at my mom’s and this is basically the only book she had laying around I hadn’t ready - I didn’t pick it myself!

Safe Haven follows Nicholas Sparks usual formula - damsel in distress that is secretly a bad ass - a leading man that is beyond handsome, smart, successful, kind, etc. And of course, they come together, then break up, then a super dramatic event happens that brings them back together again.

That being said - for something to read on the plane, I thought it was great. I read it in about 3 days, and was actually totally involved with what was happening, mostly because I wanted the main character to die which I don’t think is the reaction you are supposed to have - but it kept me reading none the less.

If you like “Notbook-y” type books this will fit your formula. If you don’t, well maybe you will root for her to die like I did!
