Today I did 40 minutes on the tread-climber. I was going at a moderate speed/pace and watching reruns of Married…With Children on TBS (gotta love early morning TV) when across the screen it flashed that I had climbed higher than the CN Tower in Canada. I was like whatever and kept going as I have done this before. But when I got home and I was looking up today’s weather I thought to myself I wonder how high that actually is:
It’s 553.33 meters (1,815.4 ft) tall - and was the tallest tower in the world until 2010. This translates to roughly 181 floors.
I never took the time to realize just how high I was climbing - and I climbed over this height. Sometimes it’s amazing what the body can do. I think about going up the stairs in the subway and how I get annoyed about it - but yet at the gym when I am focusing on pushing myself, I can go up 181 floors easily. It’s amazing.
After this, I did the Captain’s Chair for abs, and then two different types of pull downs as I am still working on my back to get it tight and lady-jacked. Think Linda Hamilton on Terminator 2:
It’s almost the end of the week. Push yourself and see how high you can go!
