NoSauce Book Review - The Wild Rose by Jennifer Donnelly
Once again Jennifer Donnelly not only writes a book that I couldn’t get enough of, but she leaves me wanting more wishing that there was a 4th in the series that I could pick up and start reading immediately.
The Wild Rose is the third in the series of books - and as always she paints a vivid picture of England, Africa, Arabia, and the United States back in the early 1900s. At this point we have met almost all the characters, and the book picks up with Willa living in Everest, and Seamie knowing that he will never see her again. Their love story is just a fraction of the tale this time - there is WWI to content with, German double agent spies, political uprisings, villains and drug dealers, murder, and more.
I love historical fiction, and I love Jennifer Donnelly. I really hope this isn’t the last one in the series, because I don’t think I would ever get tired of reading about these characters.
Loved it - but to fully appreciate it you do have to read her other two books first!
