Puppy Status: Shea is so excited it's finally warming up with Spring! He is so happy to get to the dog park as much as he can before it's 100 degrees in the summer!

I know it’s not even Halloween but I hand carried the Chanamus presents I have already bought on the plane, and now after wrapping them I am sooooooo beyond excited for the holidays! This is just the beginning of the shopping!

You know you are home in Santa Barbara when in December it’s 70 degrees and you have lunch at the beach. Ahhhhhhhh California.

Today is the best day ever - B and I just booked a horseback riding trail ride when we are in Santa Barbara visiting my fam in December! This is a big deal as it means B is skipping golf one day to do this with me!
I love living in a city - and all the awesome things that go with it like theater, and fine dining, and going out. But a gorgeous trail ride from the mountains to the beach? There are some things you can only do in Santa Barbara, which is why I will always love home.

Planes, Planes, Busses, and Cars
After 23.5 hours of traveling, I finally made it to California! It shouldn’t have taken that long, but I had mad delays everything including some crazy So Cal fires in LA, so we couldn’t take the 405 where we needed to - so we had to drive up to Oxnard to get on the 101 to Santa Barbara (if any of you are from CA you will know how drama that was - dumb LA traffic)
But I made it home!
Today my mom, my nephew, my brother and myself all went to visit my grandma. Even though she has dementia, I can still see flickers of her old self in there, and every time I do my heart is warmed, as my grandma and I were besties for a very very long time.

Also tonight we got to celebrate my brother’s birthday which is next week. I haven’t celebrated with him on his birthday in basically 8 years - since I moved to New York. I made him a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream from scratch!
Seeing my family for the first time in almost 6 months, made every minute of that commute from Asia worth it.
So happy to be home!

Going home to Santa Barbara for a week! FOR A WEEK!!!!!!!
And Shea is coming on the plane with us! Hopefully I can sneak him out of the bag and onto our laps to have the entire flight to snuggle! HOORAY!
So beyond excited, these last three hours of work feel like three months!
